Laurel Heights is a private intensive residential treatment center located in Atlanta, Georgia, in the Emory/Druid Hills neighborhood. The serene 12 acre campus offers seven residential cottages, separate clinic, school, cafeteria, gym, swimming pool and several outdoor playgrounds. Laurel Heights specializes in the treatment of children and adolescents with complex psychiatric and behavioral problems, co-occurring developmental disabilities and has a specialty program for children with autism spectrum disorders.

Our programs are for boys and girls, ages 7-21 with:
  • Moods disorders, including depression and bipolar symptoms
  • Self-injurious and aggressive behaviors
  • Psychotic symptoms
  • Difficulties with impulse control and emotional regulation
  • Sexually reactive behaviors
  • Trauma symptoms
  • Autism Spectrum Disorders
  • Co-occurring developmental disabilities

By providing a highly structured, safe and supportive therapeutic environment, individualized treatment by a multidisciplinary team and fostering family involvement in all aspects of treatment, we build on strengths to help each child develop needed skills to function more successfully in the community.
